HiabHub — Operator Listing Terms and Conditions Published 1 November 2026 | operator-listing-2026-11-01-v4 1. About these terms These terms govern applications for, and use of, an operator listing on hiabhub.co.uk. "HiabHub", "we", "us" and "our" mean Hiab Hire Network Ltd (company number 17448865), trading as HiabHub. "You" and "your" mean the business applying for or holding a listing. The person submitting the application must be authorised to accept these terms on that business's behalf. These terms apply to business listings. They do not govern the transport, lifting or other services you provide to your customers. Contact us about your listing at operators@hiabhub.co.uk. 2. What HiabHub provides HiabHub is an online directory helping customers find and contact independent Hiab and crane-assisted transport businesses. An approved listing may display your business description, contact details, services, vehicles, crane information, photographs and selected coverage areas. Customers contact you directly. HiabHub does not act as your agent, accept hire bookings on your behalf, collect payment for your work or enter into transport or lifting contracts with customers. You remain responsible for deciding whether to accept an enquiry, assessing the work and agreeing all prices, arrangements and contractual terms directly with the customer. 3. Applications and approval Submitting an application does not guarantee publication or reserve an area place. We may request further information, clarification or permission before approving your listing. Information must be complete enough to create an accurate, useful business profile. The listing agreement begins when we confirm acceptance of your application. Our rules concerning application information and permission to use supplied material apply from submission. We may decline applications containing misleading information, unauthorised material, unsuitable services or requests for areas with no available places. 4. Area places and coverage The introductory offer includes listings in up to four local areas, subject to availability and approval. Each local area has a maximum of five listed operator places. Holding a place does not provide exclusivity or prevent competing businesses from appearing in the same area. You must genuinely be able to serve the areas you request. An area listing does not imply that your business has a depot or office there. We may also show your business as a nearby option when a customer searches elsewhere. This does not reserve an additional area place. We do not guarantee a particular position within search results or the order in which businesses appear. 5. Free introductory listing and future charges Your introductory listing is free. No payment details are required, and there is no minimum commitment or automatic paid renewal. The free introductory offer currently has no fixed end date. You may request removal at any time without paying a cancellation fee. Before proposing a paid listing, we will give you at least 30 days' written notice, including: The proposed price and any applicable VAT. What the paid service includes. The proposed start date and billing frequency. Any minimum term, renewal arrangements and cancellation conditions. You will only be charged if you expressly agree to the paid service. Silence, continued website use or an existing free listing will not constitute agreement to pay. If you decline the paid offer, you will not owe a listing fee. We may remove your free listing on or after the notified end date. 6. Your responsibilities You must ensure that information you supply is accurate, current and not misleading. In particular, you must: Use the correct business identity and provide contact details you are authorised to publish. Describe your services, vehicles, equipment and coverage honestly. Avoid claiming qualifications, accreditations, insurance or capabilities you do not hold. Hold the licences, permissions, insurance and competence required for the work you undertake. Tell us promptly about material changes affecting your listing or ability to provide the advertised services. Treat customers and HiabHub staff professionally. You must not impersonate another business, create misleading duplicate profiles, submit fake enquiries or manipulate contact statistics. 7. Listing material, rights and promotional use 7.1 Ownership and listing licence. You retain ownership of material you supply or expressly approve for use. You grant Hiab Hire Network Ltd, trading as HiabHub, a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce, format and display that material to prepare, publish and operate your directory listing. Online listings may be viewed worldwide. This licence covers only the material and version you supply or approve; it does not give us general permission to copy other material from your website or social accounts. 7.2 Your authority and third-party rights. You must own the relevant rights or hold permission from the rights holder that allows the uses set out in this section 7, including the promotional uses in clause 7.4 and any necessary sublicensing. Owning a vehicle, commissioning a photograph or finding an image online does not establish copyright ownership. Tell us about required credits, licence limits, expiry dates, client restrictions or other conditions before supplying material. Do not supply confidential information, private documents or material whose publication would breach another person's rights. We may ask for evidence and decline or remove material if authority is unclear. 7.3 Accuracy and editing. We may correct spelling, improve descriptions for clarity and search relevance, resize or crop images and add accurate captions. In promotional material we may also adjust brightness, colour and contrast and add HiabHub branding and calls to action. We will not use generative AI or other editing tools to add, remove or alter vehicles, equipment, people, places, livery or other content shown in your images. We will not knowingly invent services, equipment, qualifications, endorsements or factual claims, materially misrepresent your business, remove a notified required credit, or subject a work to derogatory treatment. Tell us promptly about inaccurate information or changes to your rights. 7.4 Promotional licence. When you submit an application or accept these terms, you also grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use the business name, public business description, logo and images approved for your listing ("Featured Material") to promote HiabHub and your business through the following channels: HiabHub website features and organic social media posts. Paid online advertising, including Facebook and Instagram adverts. HiabHub promotional email materials. HiabHub printed promotional materials. Each channel is independent and is on unless you switch it off. You can switch off any or all channels when you submit or at any time afterwards under clause 7.6. Switching channels off does not affect your free listing eligibility, area allocation or price. The licence covers the Featured Material as currently approved for your listing. If you update approved material, the updated version is covered once approved, unless you have switched the relevant channels off. Private contact details, documents and information marked private are never Featured Material. We record the terms and wording version, representative, time, channel settings and later changes. Where you are a sole trader or partnership, or the Featured Material otherwise includes personal information about you (for example, a business name that is your own name), we use that information for these promotions on the basis of our legitimate interests in promoting the directory and its listed operators. You have the right to object, and switching off a channel ends that use. This permission is separate from permission to send you marketing and from a visitor's cookie choices. It does not subscribe you to marketing messages. It does not authorise promotion of unrelated businesses or products, resale of your material, AI model training or unrestricted onward licensing. Service providers and selected publishing platforms may handle material only as needed to deliver the authorised promotion under their applicable terms; we do not grant unrelated commercial rights. 7.5 People, places and private information. A business content licence does not supply a lawful basis to use another individual's personal information. The promotional licence in clause 7.4 excludes: identifiable people, including faces, name badges and distinctive tattoos; private contact details; confidential customer information, including customer names, branding and job details; homes, private addresses or premises that could reveal where someone lives; logos, trade marks or branding belonging to anyone other than you; sensitive site details, such as security arrangements, access codes or critical infrastructure. If material you submit contains any of these, tell us before you submit by emailing operators@hiabhub.co.uk. We will not use that material promotionally until we have completed a separate rights and privacy review, or you provide suitable replacement material. Any necessary individual permission must be informed, valid for the intended use and recorded; an employer cannot simply consent on an individual's behalf. We may decline material or request masking or replacement. We will blur readable vehicle registration plates in promotional material unless you confirm the vehicle is registered to a limited company. We remove embedded location and device data (such as GPS metadata) from images before promotional use. 7.6 Switching off channels and ending permission. You may switch off any promotional channel at any time through your private permission controls, where available, or by emailing operators@hiabhub.co.uk. We stop authorising new uses on receipt, stop active advertising and remove material from online promotions we control without undue delay, normally within 10 working days. We stop distributing affected printed material. We cannot recall emails or printed material already delivered, independent third-party shares or search caches, but will take reasonable steps where within our control. Necessary restricted evidence and backups are not permission for further promotion. Switching off a channel does not retrospectively make a previously authorised use unlawful. The listing licence and the promotional licence end when the listing is removed, except for limited retention required for administration, legal obligations or disputes. Reinstating a listing does not switch back on a channel you had switched off. Listings accepted under an earlier version of these terms are covered by the promotional licence in clause 7.4 only once the operator accepts this version; until then, only the channels the operator actively selected under the earlier version apply. Previously supplied images are not authorised for wider promotion merely because these terms have been updated. 7.7 Rights concerns. Send a rights complaint to operators@hiabhub.co.uk with the material's location, your interest and the concern. We may temporarily remove disputed material while checking it. Each party remains responsible for its own acts and omissions; nothing in this section removes an individual's statutory rights or transfers our own data-protection responsibilities to you. 8. Verification and customer enquiries A standard listing is not an endorsement, recommendation or certification by HiabHub. Reviewing an application for publication does not mean that we have verified the operator's insurance, competence, equipment, licences or suitability for a particular job. You must not describe yourself as "HiabHub approved" or "HiabHub verified" unless we have separately authorised that description in writing. Featuring your business in HiabHub promotional material is not an endorsement, recommendation or verification of your business. We will not describe a featured operator as approved, verified or recommended by HiabHub unless we have carried out and documented checks that support that description. You are responsible for responding to customers, checking the requirements of each job and providing appropriate information about your business and services. Complaints about your quotations, work, payments or bookings must be handled directly between you and the customer. We may separately consider whether a complaint affects your continued listing. 9. Enquiries, performance and tracking We do not guarantee a minimum number of views, enquiries, bookings, sales or any particular search-engine position. Where contact statistics are available, they may record actions such as clicks on telephone, email, WhatsApp or website buttons. A click does not establish that a call connected, a message was sent or a booking resulted. Statistics may be incomplete because of consent choices, browser settings, technical limitations or other factors. They should not be treated as an audited record of leads or revenue. 10. Accounts and personal information Where an operator account is provided, keep login details secure and tell us promptly about suspected unauthorised access. Only authorised people may use an account or request listing changes. We handle personal information as explained in our Privacy Information (https://hiabhub.co.uk/privacy), including the purposes, lawful bases, recipients, retention criteria and individual rights. Accepting these terms includes the promotional licence in clause 7.4, which you can switch off by channel at any time. Accepting these terms is not consent to unrelated marketing or optional tracking. Those choices are separate. Before providing another person's contact details, make sure you have authority, provide them with our privacy information and use business contact information appropriate to the purpose. Information marked private is not part of the public listing or promotional licence. Each operator is responsible for information it receives directly from customers; HiabHub remains responsible for its own processing. 11. Suspension and removal We may suspend, amend or remove a listing where there are reasonable grounds to believe that: Information is materially inaccurate or misleading. Content infringes another person's rights. The listing promotes unlawful activity or presents a serious safety concern. The account or directory is being misused. You have materially breached these terms. Where practical, we will explain the issue and give you a reasonable opportunity to respond or correct it. Immediate suspension may be necessary for serious concerns, security incidents or legal requirements. A complaint does not automatically establish wrongdoing. You may ask us to review a suspension or removal by emailing us with relevant information. We may discontinue the free directory service or an affected area listing on at least 30 days' written notice, unless an urgent legal or security issue prevents that notice. 12. Ending your listing You may request removal at any time by emailing operators@hiabhub.co.uk from your registered contact address. We may take reasonable steps to confirm your authority before removing or transferring a listing. We will remove the listing as soon as reasonably practicable and confirm completion. Removal does not cancel contracts you have made with customers or affect responsibilities arising before removal. A released area place may be offered to another operator. 13. Availability and liability We will use reasonable care and skill in providing the directory service. We do not promise uninterrupted availability and may temporarily restrict access for maintenance, updates or security. You are responsible for the services you provide and the contracts you enter into with customers. HiabHub is responsible for its own acts and omissions under this agreement. Subject to the paragraph below, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by inaccurate information you supply, your breach of these terms or events beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. 14. Changes to these terms We may update these terms to reflect changes to the directory or applicable requirements. We will give at least 30 days' notice of material changes where reasonably possible. Urgent legal or security changes may require shorter notice, with an explanation. Where a change requires fresh agreement, we will ask for it. Changes will not create a payment obligation without your express agreement. You may end your listing if you do not wish to accept revised terms. The version you accepted remains recorded. We do not treat publication of new wording, silence or continued use as acceptance of a revised version, including the promotional licence in clause 7.4, or as agreement to wider personal-data marketing permissions. Operators whose listings were accepted under an earlier version keep their existing channel choices until they accept this version. Where acceptance or additional permission is needed, we request and record it separately. 15. Complaints, UK coverage and governing law Send complaints about the directory to operators@hiabhub.co.uk, identifying your business and the issue. We will investigate and seek to resolve the matter fairly. HiabHub accepts operator listings from across the United Kingdom, including England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. These terms govern your directory listing agreement with HiabHub and are governed by the law of England and Wales. Subject to mandatory legal requirements, the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from this agreement. This does not determine the law governing contracts between operators and their customers, or alter the legal requirements applicable to work undertaken in Scotland, Northern Ireland or elsewhere. If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply. Nothing in these terms creates a partnership, employment relationship or agency between you and HiabHub.
