Hiab hire in Oban

Marine equipment and waterfront deliveries

An Oban waterfront delivery may involve machinery, fabricated equipment or goods handed over for onward transport. A suitable crane-equipped vehicle can combine the road journey with loading or unloading. This can help with equipment going for repair or returning to use; boat loads need an operator who can confirm suitable lifting arrangements for that particular vessel.

For a boat movement, supply hull dimensions, weight and suitable support details for a specific assessment. State which lifting tasks are already being provided by a boatyard and which you want the road operator to handle. A delivery at North Pier should use the actual receiving point, rather than treating every Oban waterfront premises as the same destination.

Mainland collections and island connections

Oban can be a handover location for goods travelling between the mainland and the islands. If your enquiry involves an island destination, say whether you need the operator to handle the complete journey or only deliver to an agreed mainland receiving business.

Give the final destination and explain any separate carrier already involved. The load may require crane unloading at one stage but not another. Keeping the transport stages clear helps the operator assess its coverage and price the part of the movement you want to book. Do not assume that a local Oban collection quote includes an onward ferry journey.

Containers and materials for Oban projects

A storage container, portable office or welfare cabin can need both transport and placement. Include the unit's external dimensions, weight and contents, and describe where it should finish. For an exchange, identify the outgoing unit as well as the replacement and provide the destination for each.

For building work around Oban, possible Hiab loads include timber packs, steelwork and generators. List items separately with their weights and lengths. If collection is at a supplier elsewhere in Scotland, include that address from the start. Ask about the complete road movement and lifting rather than only the final unloading task.
