Hiab hire services in Halifax
Hiab hire and specialist transport
Road transport with crane-assisted loading, unloading and positioning using the Fassi F660. Discuss requirements at both ends of the journey, including the load and the distance from the truck to the placement point.
Plant and machinery transport
Collection and delivery of plant, machinery and equipment. The crane, cheese wedge ramps or winch may be used depending on the machine; PCS will confirm the loading method and transport capacity.
Container transport and positioning
Container movements with lifting into position at the destination. Share the container size, actual weight, access route and final position so PCS can assess transport and offloading together.
Steelwork and RSJ lifting
Transport and lifting of structural steelwork and RSJs for construction projects. Provide steel lengths, individual weights and the intended placement position when discussing the job.
Timber frames and roof trusses
Delivery and lifting of timber frame components and roof trusses. Agree the delivery sequence and lifting requirements with PCS and the site team before arrival.
Floor cassettes and site deliveries
Transport and positioning of floor cassettes and other construction loads. Confirm component dimensions, weights, delivery order and any restrictions on access or delivery times.
Arrange your Halifax job directly
Your Halifax enquiry goes directly to PCS Transport & Lifting Services Ltd. Use the services and fleet information on this page to describe the work, then agree the vehicle, lifting arrangements, timing and price with the operator. Include any collection outside Halifax in the same enquiry so the quotation covers the full journey.
Machinery collections around Holmfield
Give the operator an inventory with individual weights and dimensions, including bases, crates and separate cabinets. If equipment is inside a mill or workshop, explain where it will be handed over for transport. This keeps the quotation focused on the lifting and road movement you want the provider to undertake.
Steel and timber for Halifax projects
Identify the supplier, number of items and their full lengths and weights. If materials come from more than one collection point, list each address. Tell the provider whether the goods are needed together or in stages, and whether loading will be provided by the supplier or also requires the vehicle’s crane.
Fleet & cranes
DAF CF530 rigid truck with a Fassi F660 lorry loader crane, front stabilisers, cheese wedge ramps and a winch. PCS states lifting capacities of up to 16 tonnes at 3 metres and 2.1 tonnes at 21 metres. These are crane lifting figures, not the truck's carrying payload. Capacity depends on the working radius, configuration and site conditions; PCS must confirm the appropriate setup for each lift.
