Hiab hire services in Leeds
Hiab hire and crane lorry transport
Arrange crane-assisted collection and delivery in Leeds for loads that need lifting onto or off the vehicle. Plantforce’s Hiab service covers equipment and specialist loads; provide the weight, dimensions and lifting distance so the operator can assess the job.
Machinery and generator transport
Transport for machinery, generators and static plant, with crane lifting where required and suitable. Explain whether the machine can move under its own power, how it will be loaded and where it needs to be positioned at delivery.
Site accommodation and fabrication deliveries
Hiab transport for site accommodation, tanks, steelwork and fabricated items. For a Leeds construction site or commercial delivery, include the available standing space, site entrance and unloading position when requesting a quotation.
Low loader hire
Low loader transport for heavy plant, including excavators, crushers, piling rigs and loading shovels. Plantforce can discuss local collections and longer-distance movements. Supply the machine’s travel dimensions and weight so the team can confirm the appropriate trailer and route.
Beavertail plant transport
Beavertail transport for plant such as rollers, dumpers, forklifts and excavators. This provides an alternative for suitable loads that can be driven or otherwise loaded onto the vehicle. Confirm loading access and equipment requirements with Plantforce before arranging collection.
Arrange your Leeds job directly
Speak directly to Plantforce about your Leeds collection or delivery. Its combination of crane lorries and plant transport vehicles gives you several options to discuss for a machinery move or site delivery. The business describes trained operators, vehicle tracking and in-house maintenance support. Ask the team to confirm the vehicle, crane reach and loading arrangements needed for your specific job, then agree the price and delivery window before booking.
Planning machinery collections across Leeds
For a collection from a workshop, yard or industrial premises in Leeds, include the machine’s transport dimensions and weight, plus any separate tooling or accessories. Photographs of doorways, the entrance and the collection point help explain the access.
For sites in Hunslet, Holbeck or elsewhere in the city, give the exact address rather than relying on a postcode alone. Tell Plantforce whether a crane is needed at collection, delivery or both, and whether the load is ready for transport.
Site accommodation and equipment deliveries
Explain whether you need an item moved between Leeds sites or repositioned within the same premises. For cabins, generators and tanks, show the intended delivery position and the space available for the vehicle. Include any return load, steps or loose accessories in the enquiry.
If access or timing is restricted, flag it when requesting a quote. This lets Plantforce assess the full job and discuss suitable transport and lifting arrangements before a vehicle is booked.
Fleet & cranes
Plantforce’s listed vehicle options include rigid Hiab, artic Hiab and 7.5-tonne Hiab vehicles, alongside low loaders and beavertails. Ask the team which vehicle is available and suitable for your load. Its website advertises Hiab combinations with gross vehicle weights up to 44 tonnes and bed lengths up to 19 metres. Gross vehicle weight includes the vehicle itself; it is not the available payload or crane lifting capacity. The operator must confirm capacity at the required working radius. Published beavertail specifications include gross vehicle weights up to 32 tonnes and beds up to 9.3 metres. Deck space, payload and loading arrangements vary with the vehicle selected.
